Everyone had a wonderful time at the Trivia and Bags Spring Fundraiser! Thumbuddy Special awarded over $12,000 in summer camp scholarships!

Sher Love Van Program was delighted to award Bettie and her family with a like new van with a lift. It is truly an honor to help 2 families become more independent! Special shout out to Adrian Dieleman my new “van guy” who is now helping Thumbuddy Special find good used vans and adapted bikes. Dear Ms. Connelly and Thumbuddy Special,
Bettie, Tom, and I would like to thank you for finding us a perfect wheelchair van with an automatic ramp! We are overwhelmed with the generosity you have shown us. We are also so happy that our car could be passed along to a deserving family who needed reliable transportation.
The van will provide us with the freedom and ease to bring Bettie wherever we need to go without lifting her as we had been. She’s getting bigger and heavier and will also be having heart surgery soon. She may be spending more time in her wheelchair after surgery. It’s our hope that when she recovers and gets stronger, that she will be able to roll herself up into the van herself.
We can’t tell you how happy we feel, and our hearts are full from the kindness you have shown. We simply could not have afforded this van on our own. Bettie can’t wait to ride in it each day to school. Many thanks for all of your help!
