Greetings to Our Thumbuddy Special Supporters
Spring was very busy for TS, Our Adapted Bike Program has awarded 6 new bikes to our special friends. Aiden and Grace were the stars at the St John Of the Cross Bike Giveaway Rally. The students raised money as their Advent Project for 2 Bikes. The Joy of Giving was so Grand, the cheers were electric! The students made signs cheering them on through the hallways. Following their lead, Irving School took on Thumbuddy Special as their Disability Awareness Project for the month of May. It was a great success too! On the last day of school, 2 bikes were awarded to Tristan and MyLia. Tristan, who has autism and cerebral palsy, was the star going through the crowd, that provided a “silent applause”, because loud noises can upset him. There wasn’t a dry eye on the playground. On June 1st, TS awarded the 2nd Adapted Van this year through the Sher-Love Program. Sam and his family were thrilled beyond words, there were plenty of TS supporters there to witness this beautiful event. Enjoy these pictures…your generosity is the power behind these smiles!
Our 20th Annual Golf Outing is coming up on Friday, July 19th. We are always in need of golfers, prizes and we would love to have our friends who are not golfers join us for a delicious BBQ dinner, for only $50.00, and that includes beer and wine. Such a great deal!
