Friends of Thumbuddy Special;
Thumbuddy Special would like to extend a great big thank you to our friends at BCD Meetings and Incentives and at Swanson Martin and Bell for sponsoring 2 wonderful events.
The nights were filled with great conversation, excellent food and beverages, and most importantly money was raised to support our special children and families. We are so thankful for your support and encouragement towards our organization.
Next up for Thumbuddy Special is the Mom’s Day Out Event. This is scheduled for November 6th. This year we are taking 12 moms of children with severe autism. These moms will be treated to a day of pampering, shopping and a delightful dinner at Carlucci. If you are interested in helping out with this day, I have attached a flier for what we are collecting for the “pamper” baskets.
The items that we have left-over, we use for the moms and teenager girls for the Needy families at Christmas.
In December, 15 social workers from local schools come to Thumbuddy Special’s “Santa’s workshop” here at my house. These social workers know the families who are really hurting during the Christmas season. They “shop” for the families and we wrap the presents and then the social workers deliver the “goods”. Every year, it works out down to the last toy! As you can imagine this program has grown every year, with more and more families in need.
Please feel free to to pass this on to your family and friends, collect what you can and join in on this amazing event. Collecting for the Moms until the 28th of Oct and for the Families until the 4th of December.
It is really powerful to feel the magic of God’s work!
