Friends of Thumbuddy Special!
Thumbuddy Special’s Moms Day Out was simply fabulous! 18 moms left feeling refreshed, renewed with new friendships and loved from our Thumbuddy Special supporters. Here a few pictures to enjoy.
A special shout out to our Glam Squad who donated their time to “doll” the ladies up. Our friends at Coopers Hawk in Burr Ridge who sponsored the dinner and Richie Shepherd who serenaded our moms and had them up dancing!
On December 8th Thumbuddy Special is sponsoring the Polar Express through WSSRA. Quinn Connelly is our Santa. It is an honor to be involved in this exceptional event, the eyes of every child are so excited to see the guy in the Red Suit!
Now we are on to our Christmas Season and we are in need of toys for our needy families. If you are in the Giving Spirit of Christmas, please consider donating toys or money to this worthy endeavor. 20 social workers from the western suburbs will choose toys for the families that they serve. These families would not have any Christmas cheer without our assistance.
We are looking for volunteers for the Wrapping Party on Sunday, December 9th at Mary Ellen’s house
The shifts are:
8:00 am to 10:00 am
10:00 am to 12:00 am
Noon to 2:00 pm………….The Bears game was moved to Sunday night, so you won’t miss the game!
It is a great day of giving and everyone is in the Spirit of Christmas!
