Perfect night out for all of our downtown workers, feel free to pass this around to your friends and family. Easy way to reach more people and spread the word about Thumbuddy Special.
The next date is Friday, November 25th for all of our westsiders. Our 2nd Annual Holiday Happy Hour at Gulliver’s on Roosevelt Road in Oak Brook Terrace. More details to follow. Money raised will go to our Needy Families at the Christmas Season.
We are setting up our date for the “Mom’s Day Out”. This year we are sponsoring Moms of children with autism. 10-12 moms will be picked up by a limousine, treated to a day of pampering, shopping and a beautiful dinner at Carlucci. It truly is one of my favorite days of the year. I simply can not put it into words how “special” the moms feel for the day.
This last week Thumbuddy Special purchased a new adapted bike for Abby, a nine year old girl with Cerebral Palsy. Dad writes in his letter….”With all of her physical challenges, Abby is blessed with strong mental abilities, speech and the ability to eat a normal diet. She is going into the 4th grade and attends her regular local school…..As soon as Abby got on the bike, her face lit up like I have not seen before. She was smiling from ear to ear and talking about how wonderful it was to ride a bike.”
Again, my sincere gratitude for your support. This is our 18th year and we are proud and blessed to be in a position to help children with special needs.
